Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is facing rape allegations. He is accused of raping a woman twice in a Manhattan hotel room in 2013. This allegation is adding to the growing number of claims against him. While his Attorney Mark Heller, who represents the 52-year-old actor, said the “alleged event never took place.” He further adds, “And my client is totally innocent of any of these false allegations and we’re confident it will be dismissed. She’s probably just somebody who’s looking for some glory to bask in the publicity and notoriety of Cuba Gooding Jr.’s case.”
Earlier, many women too have accused the actor of sexual abuse and forcible touching . While the actor is already facing misdemeanor criminal charges of sexual abuse. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges against him by those women.
The federal lawsuit said that the women accompanied the actor to a nearby SoHo hotel. From there, they were supposed to join other friends but the actor convinced her to go upstairs with him to a room, saying he wanted to quickly change his clothes. Instead, he started taking off clothes and holding her arms and sexually assaulted and raped her twice. The lawsuit further said that the women said no numerous times but he wouldn’t stop.
This 2013 attack has left the woman with “emotional pain, suffering, and a loss of enjoyment of life, according to the court papers. Goodling Jr. did appeared last week in Manhattan state court and pleaded not guilty to six misdemeanor charges of forcible touching and sexual abuse. He will face up to a year behind bars, if convicted.
The state prosecutors have declared that more than two dozen women have made claims against Gooding since allegations first arose against him.
