What started as a cloth to cover the face has taken the place as a world’s fashion trend. They have emerged as an essential commodity to cover the face from the coronavirus infection and also as an expression of creativity. Many fashion brands have added face masks to their clothing range with different colors and shades available.
A French Designer, Marine Serra has created a stir for making face masks for the Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020. And the American Designer , Mah Jing Wong too designed a couture mask for the singer and rapper Cardi B for the Parish Fashion Week 2020 show. Gucci, an Italian Fashion label, designed the mask for the singer Billie Ellish for the 2020 Grammy’s Awards event.
With many kinds of masks available in the market, The centre of disease control and prevention (CDC) has cleared out what is the exact role of the mask “a cloth face covering may not protect the wearer, but it may keep the wearer from spreading the virus to others.”
The major message is to make the masks more visually appealing for the youth when the schools and colleges would reopen. They should be worn as an accessory to complement the outfits and prevent the virus from spreading. This thought should be kept in mind while manufacturing masks for the youth.
