Leonardo Di Caprio‘s Appian Way made a first-look-film and tv deal with tech giant- Apple. His production house will make new TV series and Films for Apple. The production house had a three year film deal with Paramount Pictures .
This agreement will lead to growth of Appian Way production house with Apple beyond Killers of the Flower Moon and TV series Shining Girls. Apple had already paid $200 million to make Flower Moon that will bring together the star Di Caprio and DIrector Martin Scrosese with Paramount balked at the dark period piece’s budget.
Apple acquired rights to thriller Shining Girls that stars The Handmaid;s Tale Emmy Winner Elisabeth Moss and is produced by Appian Way and MRC television. The actor Di Caprio and Moss will work together in this project.
Earlier Appian Way has also worked with National Geographic’s TIdes of March and docs Virunga, Cowspiracy, Sea of Shadows, Ice on Fire and And We Ghe Right Stuff, Grant, The Revenant, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Aviator, Shutter Island, The o Green.
Apple had also signed a deal with Maurice Sendak Foundation last month. The new projects will be developed based on Sendak’s books and illustrations , which includes,’Where the Wild Things Are.’
