The release of Mulan, Tenet has been indefinitely postponed amid the coronavirus crisis. Mulan was set to debut on 21 August and theatre operators had hoped it would raise the crowd at the theatre after the late-summer.
Disney too had decided to delay the next film installments from two of its biggest franchises, Avatar sequel to debut theatres in December 2022, and next Star Wars movie in December 2023
A Disney representative said ,“It’s become clear that nothing can be set in stone when it comes to how we release films during this global health crisis.Today that means pausing our release plans for Mulan as we assess how we can most effectively bring this film to audiences around the world.”
The sequel of Spider-Man : Far from Home has been pushed to 17 December, 2021 from the pre-scheduled release on 5 November, 2021.
Sony had previously delayed the release of the thief movie of Tom Holland’s Spider Man franchise from 16 july 2021 to 5 november 2021.
The much awaited Tom cruise’s sequel to Top Gun and John Kransinski-directed A Quiet Place has also been delayed for an year.
The Quiet Place part 2 will be released on 23 April 2021 instead of 6 september 2020. And the Top Gun: Maverick is now delayed to release on 2 July 2021 instead of 3 December 2020.
