Rebecca Sinnarajah, 23-year-old, was born and bought up in the United Kingdom. Winning awards for Bollywood dancer love to play the guitar and sing. Starting her modelling career at 16, Rebecca has accomplished work through her profession as a paediatric nurse at an NHS hospital in West London, says ‘I loves looking after children and family, and is a very rewarding job’. Besides that she has also prospered as a judge’s choice finalist, for the Miss England Final 2021. She was motivated to compete for the beauty pageant by former Miss England, Miss Bhasha Mukherjee, who is a junior doctor.
Amidst the pandemic the competition has been virtual; Rebecca has pulled off self-designed attire using recycled material for the eco round. And submitting three different videos, introduction, catwalk, and talent videos for the semi-final rounds. This has encouraged her to grow a step closer to the crown, claiming a spot in finals among fifteen other finalists.
Confident and extremely excited, Rebecca is fixated on her ambitions and is diligent to achieve the final competition for 2021 which is held on 27 August 2021 at Heart of Conference, Coventry. Before that Rebecca is said to take part in couple other rounds for the beauty pageant, such as, bare face, talent, sports and photogenic round.
Juggling between being a beauty pageant and employing as a nurse, Rebecca has great time management and schedules her tasks beforehand to balance the varied day and night shifts as a nurse and her modelling schedule. She is strengthening herself by remaining positive emotionally and psychologically to encounter the challenges during the pageant. She prefers staying healthy and looking after herself rather than adopting a rigorous regime.
Rebecca has been featured in articles talking about the struggle NHS staff has gone during the pandemic and helping them by talking about better pay rise. ‘This year has been really tough and it’s actually so upsetting to not feel valued at all. This is my job and I love what I do, but it is not fair.’ She expressed her feeling through recent articles regarding the unfair pay rise for the NHS nurses and how she wants to use Miss England platform to stand and speak for with regards to this issue.
One of the purposes to contest for this title is to be an inspiration for the younger generation and to raise Mental Health Awareness in Children and Young People. She also supports ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ is a Miss World charity helping unprivileged children and youngsters. Given an opportunity she would like to visit schools and speak to children and share her story and spread awareness ‘‘no one should suffer in silence’, supporting mental illness.
The winner for Miss England goes to compete for Miss World held in Porto Rico, could Rebecca be the on to represent England at the 70th Miss World in December 2021.
