Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is scheduled to be released in 70 international countries , a week before in the US. The film features Robert Pattinson and John David Washington which will be released on August 26 and on September 2 in the US market.
Warner Bros gave a statement on Monday which clarified that tenet will arrive in more than 70 countries including Japan, Russia, Half of Europe, Australia and Canada. The$200 million film also features Indian actors HImesh Patel and Dimple Kapadia.
The film will not have a global release instead will make its make through theatres as they are open. The film was originally scheduled to be released on July 17 which has been postponed several times.
A statement by Warner Bros last week said,’Tenet” would not have a traditional global day-and-date release — a surprising (though not unprecedented) break from tradition since North America is the world’s biggest film market and remains pivotal for major movies to turn a profit. But the studio hopes to innovate and recalibrate given the fact that foreign markets are already starting to reopen safely and desperately need new Hollywood movies to entice crowds. The U.S., on the other hand, has seen coronavirus cases exponentially rise in recent weeks, complicating plans to resume operations at domestic movie theaters anytime soon
